SAM WOO<02322> - Unusual price & volume movements

The Stock Exchange has received a message from Sam Woo Holdings Limited
which is reproduced as follows:-

"This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong 
Limited (the "Stock Exchange").

The board of directors (the "Board") of Sam Woo Holdings Limited (the 
"Company") have noted the recent increases in the price and volume of the 
shares of the Company and wish to state that the Board is not aware of any 
reasons for such increases.

The Board confirms that there are no negotiations or agreements relating 
to intended acquisitions and realizations which are discloseable under 
Rule 13.23, neither is the Board aware of any matter discloseable under 
the general obligation imposed by Rule 13.09, which is or may be of a 
price-sensitive nature.

Made by the order of the Company, the directors of which individually and 
jointly accept responsibility for the accuracy of this statement.

As at the date of this statement, the Board comprises Messrs. Lau Chun 
Ming, Lau Chun Kwok, Lau Chun Ka, Leung Lai So, Hsu Kam Yee, Simon and 
Chan Sun Kwong as executive directors of the Company, Messrs. Chiu Kam 
Kun, Eric as non-executive director and Messrs. Lee Peng Fei, Allen, Wong 
Sue Cheun, Roderick and Chan Wai Dune as independent non-executive 
directors of the Company.
